Be Uncomfortable in Success

Marcus’ “Ques ” To Success: Be Uncomfortable

To be successful, you have to get out of that comfort zone. In order to grow, most must go through something, feel struggle, yes be uncomfortable!

If you never attempt anything new, you will never make any mistakes. But you will also never enjoy the fruits of accomplishments. If you never go beyond what is comfortable and familiar, you won’t run into any unpleasant surprises. You will also never make any exciting new discoveries.

To get to the top of your game, you must be willing to do the one thing most won’t, leave your comfort zone. Know that you always have a next level; you just have to want to get there.

Life has risks, take one.

Quest to 100 “No’s”

As a journey to desensitize myself to rejection I am on a quest to achieve 100 “no” responses from people I don’t know. The first 10 will be documented here.

This concept will help in at least two ways, one it will make my mindset stronger and two, will get me more “yes” answers.

Day 8 – Tuesday, February 17, 2015

Approached a lady in a popular grocery store. We were standing in line waiting to cash out.

Asked her what her employment was. Customer service was her answer and I asked her if she was interested in a business opportunity.

She said she would look at the opportunity, and we exchanged information!

I didn’t get a rejection!

Day 7 – Monday, February 16, 2015

Went to the pizza shop to get a couple slices of pizza for me nd my son. I began to order then said, “I have an idea, can I make my pizza”?

He looked shocked and said “I don’t know about that, I need to ask the manager”. After the manager came out he explained that he could not because I’m not an employee.

I then asked to help wipe down the tables, he agreed to that just to shut me up because he thought I was straight crazy.

I laughed and explained to him what I was doing, he laughed also. I didn’t wipe down the tables, just got my pizza and left.

Day 6 – Sunday, February 15, 2015

Neighbor knocked on my door Sunday asking if I would buy a $20 coupon book.

I asked if they’d give it to me for free, stating I was going through financial issues. They said no, then thought about it for a minute and asked if they could buy it for me instead.

I laughed it off and told them what I was doing as far as seeking 100 “no’s”, then I purchased a coupon book.

The no didn’t feel so bad because they actually felt as though they wanted to help me.

Day 5 – Saturday, February 14, 2015

Took my wife to a restaurant for dinner and it was a 2 hour wait, it was packed. I asked the hostess could i jump everybody and be next. She said she could not do that.

We waited for 1 hour and 45 minutes before being seated.

Day 4 – Friday, February 13, 2015

Took my car in for repair.

Asked service rep for a discount on work done on my Cadillac. Three things had to be done, tune up, brake service all around with rotors on the front and replace my water pump. The service rep looked at me crazy and laughed while saying he couldn’t do it.

Well, I only approved the tune up because I can change breaks myself. The mechanic performed the tuned up the car plus change brakes and rotors on the the front and pads only on the rear. But remember I didn’t approve the brake services. So the manager had to call me and asked if I wanted the brake service and a waaayyyy reduced price. I said, “the mechanic put them on huh”, and he said “yep, it was a miscommunication on their part”.

So I got a rejection and a discount.

Day 3 – Thursday, February 12, 2015

Asked manager at Church’s Chicken to give me all dark meat but no thighs, at the special price. With the special price you couldn’t modify the selection. She said she couldn’t do it. I would have to pay the additional price. So I left.

Looking for a Valentine’s day gift at Macy’s, asked customer service person to give me a discount on the Michael Korrs watch. She said she couldn’t do it. I used my Shopping Sherlock Mobile App (http://ShoppingSherlockMobileApp.com) and found the same watch for cheaper, and I ordered it.

Day 2 – Wednesday, February 11, 2015

Asked a stranger at BestBuy to be in my business. Answer was not interested.

Asked lady at Jabaris practice to view presentation. She said she would, but never did.

Day 1 – Tuesday, February 10, 2015

Arrived at work, computer not working. Asked for a new computer.

Communicated with Linkedin prospect and we went through the three step process, he didn’t join. Wanted to see how the Sherlock and his other business can work together.

I Never Gave Up

Marcus’ “Ques” to Success!

Unlike the weak, the strong neither give up nor are driven by pain into rash or stupid behavior.

Don’t be one of those people who believe in their vision at first but then give up.

See it through, no matter how long it takes.

Remember, tough times never last, but tough people do.

Nowhere in my Life’s story will it ever say, I gave up, Nowhere!

You Can’t Make Money and Excuses

Marcus’ “Ques” to Success:

If striving to fulfill your true purpose means being unreasonable, then so be it.
